The ASX Grid: An Interactive Model of Space Exploration and Consciousness
The ASX Grid, the Astral Space Exploration Model of Consciousness created by Kaikhan Salakhov, is now available as an interactive website at asxgrid.app. It is the first comprehensive multidimensional model to integrate consciousness with space exploration and civilizational development. The website turns the framework of Salakhov's book Astral Space Exploration: The Cosmic Renaissance into an instrument that anyone can explore, question and test.
Two independent coordinates
Most scales of civilizational development measure a single quantity, such as energy use or technological reach. The ASX Grid separates two dimensions that are often confused.
Physical Capability (P1 to P8) describes operational reach, from Pre-Planetary and Planetary through Multiplanetary, Transplanetary, Galactic, Multigalactic and Transgalactic to Universal.
Consciousness Capability (C1 to C8) describes how a system coordinates itself. The levels run from Fragmented / Short-Horizon Coordination through Group-Bound, Power-Centered, Institutional Order, Model-Based Optimization, Systemic Perspective and Frame-Integration to Whole-Field Modeling.
Together they form a field of 64 coordinates, plus an Outside Coordinate Domain for forms that species-centric classification cannot represent. The coordinates are deliberately independent. The model has no combined score and no hierarchy: a higher index describes a different capability, not greater worth or evolutionary superiority.
The book, the novel and the guide
The Literature section presents Astral Space Exploration: The Cosmic Renaissance, The Fundamental Principles of Cosmocybernetics, an 852-page reference edition that grounds the whole framework. Alongside it is Salakhov's science-fiction novel Astral Space Exploration: T.A.H.I.R.A - 108.
Throughout the website, T.A.H.I.R.A - 108 acts as a local knowledge interface. It answers questions about the framework from the site's own knowledge base, with evidence status and scope stated, and guides new visitors through each section.
Explore any coordinate
Selecting a cell opens a coordinate analysis across 20 analytical dimensions, including physical constraints, communication, governance, economy, ethics and contact disposition. Twelve reference profiles show how the framework is applied. They range from present-day humanity (P2 × C1) to well-known cases from science fiction, such as the Star Trek Federation, the Borg, Asimov's Foundation and Lem's Solaris Ocean, which lies outside the coordinate domain. Every placement states its evidence status, from observed to theoretical.
The Interactive Cosmocybernetic Atlas
The Library is a three-dimensional network of 4,354 records drawn from The Cosmic Renaissance: 715 discussions and 3,583 questions across seven subject Parts. The Parts cover spirituality, architecture, simulation technologies, robotics, space exploration, xenoanthropology and cosmogeopolism. Readers can filter by sector, analytical dimension, physical scope, coordination theme and scientific context. They can follow connections between problems and save their own path through the atlas.
ASX Genesis 2.0: design a species
and test it
The Simulation section introduces ASX Genesis 2.0, a species laboratory.
Design: users build a hypothetical form decision by decision, from its host star, gravity and biochemistry to its cognition, social structure, economy, technology and contact orientation.
Test: the species is then placed on the ASX Grid and stepped through logarithmic time. It branches into lineages as its physical reach and its distribution of coordination configurations change.
Problem types: each event is classified as a consciousness problem (C-Field), a physical problem (P-Field) or a combined one (P × C).
Causal checks: a problem can occur only if the declared species has the capacities it requires.
Further tools: ensemble runs, survival statistics and a Fermi-paradox analysis extend the single run. Atlas Connections link each simulated problem to the discussions in the book where it is already examined.
The outputs are illustrative scenario dynamics under stated rules, not predictions. Genesis is also an evolving instrument: it began as a guided scenario laboratory and will continue to be revised as scientific knowledge and technology develop.
